Advanced Hill Climbing Ability Calculator

Advanced Hill Climbing Ability Calculator

The power output of the motor in watts.
The electric potential provided by the battery.
The weight of the rider.
The weight of the scooter.
The angle of the hill in degrees.

How Hill Climbing Ability is Calculated

This calculator uses the following formula to estimate the hill climbing ability of your electric scooter:

Hill Climbing Ability (%) = (Motor Power (W) / (Rider Weight (kg) + Scooter Weight (kg)) * g * sin(Hill Angle (degrees) * π/180)) * 100

Where:

  • Motor Power (W): The power output of the motor in watts.
  • Battery Voltage (V): The electric potential provided by the battery.
  • Rider Weight (kg): The weight of the rider.
  • Scooter Weight (kg): The weight of the scooter.
  • Hill Angle (degrees): The angle of the hill in degrees.
  • g: Gravitational acceleration, approximately 9.81 m/s².
