How Hill Climbing Ability is Calculated
This calculator uses the following formula to estimate the hill climbing ability of your electric scooter:
Hill Climbing Ability (%) = (Motor Power (W) / (Rider Weight (kg) + Scooter Weight (kg)) * g * sin(Hill Angle (degrees) * π/180)) * 100
Where:
- Motor Power (W): The power output of the motor in watts.
- Battery Voltage (V): The electric potential provided by the battery.
- Rider Weight (kg): The weight of the rider.
- Scooter Weight (kg): The weight of the scooter.
- Hill Angle (degrees): The angle of the hill in degrees.
- g: Gravitational acceleration, approximately 9.81 m/s².
