How Total Cost of Ownership is Calculated

This calculator uses the following formula to estimate the total cost of owning your electric scooter:

Total Cost of Ownership (USD) = Purchase Price + (Annual Maintenance Cost × Expected Lifespan) + (Charging Cost × Expected Lifespan)

Where:

  • Purchase Price: The initial cost of buying the electric scooter.
  • Annual Maintenance Cost: The yearly cost of maintaining the scooter.
  • Charging Cost: Calculated as follows:
    • Charging Cost (USD) = (Battery Capacity (Ah) × Battery Voltage (V) × Electricity Rate (¢/kWh)) / 1000
